Andreas Dzemski
University of Gothenburg. Lecturer in Econometrics. PhD from Mannheim University.

My research interests include the theory and application of panel data models, economic inequality, the reliability of statistical inference as a tool for scientific discovery, machine learning applications in economics, and financial economics.
As an educator, I am a passionate advocate for theory-driven and model-based empirical research and teaching students how to think critically about results that are obtained by “just letting the data speak.”
My coding stack is based mostly based on R and Python with a pinch of C++. Using Stata when it really fits the purpose is fine, even though it makes my brain go stupid. I’m intrigued by Julia, but have so far managed to curb my childish desire to play around with it.
I am originally from Germany and speak English, German and Swedish.
